Organic Chicken

We also rear a small amount organic happy chickens on the farm too. These are slow growing birds which have full access to organic pasture where they what chickens are supposed to do - they scratch, the forage, they dust bath, they socialise with each other, they eat the grasses, insects they find and have as much space as they want to explore.

 

All these factors combined gives them a varied diet which creates a much more nutrient rich finished meat.

 

Not only do the chickens provide a great wholesome food but they also help us on the farm. They provide valuable manure for our oats - as being organic we cannot fertilise our fields with synthetic fertilisers as conventional farms can do.

The  chickens come to you with nothing added - no brine solutions to bulk their weight, no chlorine washed chicken. They come just as you would expect from small farm
